The Transport and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement of goods to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery. The role requires strong organizational ability, attention to detail, and effective communication in a cross-border logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- coordinating daily transport operations and delivery schedules
- liaising with drivers, clients, customs officials, and border authorities
- ensuring compliance with transport regulations and safety standards
- preparing, verifying, and managing logistics documentation and reports
- optimizing transport routes and monitoring fuel efficiency
- coordinating with fleet supervisors and external business partners in the DRC
- resolving operational delays and logistics challenges promptly
- maintaining accurate records of deliveries and performance reports
Qualifications
- a diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Transport and Logistics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- being a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CILT)
- having a minimum of 2 years’ experience in transport and logistics coordination
- good communication skills in English, French, and Congo Swahili
- good computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and logistics tracking system
- the age requirement is between 26 and 35 years old
