About Mooto Foods

Mooto Holdings Limited is relaunching its meat processing facility under its food business unit, Mooto Foods. The facility will focus on processing and supplying quality meat products to retailers, restaurants, butcheries, supermarkets, institutions, and other bulk buyers.

Purpose of the Assignment

To support the relaunch, Mooto Foods seeks to engage energetic and results-oriented Short-Term Market Survey Assistants to conduct market research, collect product price data, and register prospective customers across selected provinces in Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visiting butcheries, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, markets, institutions, and other relevant outlets to collect meat product price data.
  • Recording current market prices for products such as chicken, beef, pork, sausages, mince, offals, fillets, and other processed meat products.
  • Identifying and registering prospective customers, including retailers, restaurants, food vendors, schools, hospitals, lodges, hotels, and bulk buyers.
  • Collecting contact details and business information of potential customers.
  • Assessing customer preferences, buying patterns, quantities purchased, and preferred supply terms.
  • Capturing information on competitor products, packaging, pricing, and distribution channels.
  • Submitting daily survey reports using the prescribed Mooto Foods data collection tools.
  • Ensuring that all collected information is accurate, complete, and verifiable.
  • Representing Mooto Foods professionally during field engagements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum qualification of Grade 12 Certificate. A certificate or diploma in marketing, business administration, agriculture, food production, data collection, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in market surveys, sales, customer registration, field data collection, or community mobilisation will be an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for data collection, photography, GPS/location tagging, and digital reporting.
  • Good knowledge of the assigned districts, markets, and business areas.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be honest, disciplined, and able to meet daily targets.
  • Fluency in English and at least one local language spoken in the assigned province.
