Job Summary

Medica Liberia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gender Officer to support the implementation of the SASA (Spread the Message, Act, Share and Act) project. The Gender Officer will work closely with the Program Manager and other team members to ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the project proposal and donor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the project work plan and budget
• Conduct gender analysis and provide recommendations to the Program Manager
• Work with the Program Manager to develop and implement gender-sensitive training programs for community members and project staff
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan for the project
• Provide technical assistance to project staff on gender issues
• Work with the Program Manager to develop and implement a plan for community engagement and mobilization
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement a plan for project reporting and documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in gender programming and project management
• Strong knowledge of gender issues and programming
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English and local languages
• Ability to travel frequently to project sites
