SAFETY ENGINEERS (2 POSITIONS)

Job Description

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, under the TAZARA project, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the positions of Safety Engineer. To oversee and enforce occupational health and safety standards at project sites and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures under TAZARA operations. Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and statutory regulations. Investigate accidents, incidents, and unsafe practices and prepare detailed reports. Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training programs. Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Recommend corrective and preventive safety measures. Maintain accurate safety records and documentation. Promote a strong safety culture at all project sites.

Requirements

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in construction, railway, mining, or heavy industrial projects.
• Must possess a valid Safety Certificate from a recognised institution or professional body.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and construction safety standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
