ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City. ICAP seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as Laboratory Advisor. The position will be based in Solwezi, North-Western Province of Zambia. The candidate should be able to fill the position by July 2026.

Qualifications

• The incumbent will possess a minimum of a full grade 12 certificate
• A bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, a master will be an added advantage
• Should have a minimum of seven (7) years' experience working in a large clinical or research laboratory
• Relevant work experience in a similar position working for a donor funded project or an international NGO, will be an added advantage
• Should have prior experience with relevant current routine HIV/TB laboratory procedures including viral load, Recency, PCR, hematological, biochemical and microbiological analyses etc.
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, and supervision of laboratory professionals
• Basic computing skills including Microsoft excel
• Have fluent English oral and written communication skills
• Should be fully registered with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) with a current practicing license for 2026
