Job Description
BIC-Choma Children Development Project (BIC-CCDP) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization implementing programs aimed at strengthening livelihood resilience to climate change among women, children, and communities through water resources management, climate-smart agriculture, income diversification, and disaster risk reduction. BIC-CCDP invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified contractors for the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar-powered submersible pump systems in six (6) selected schools in Choma District, Zambia. Interested bidders must be legally registered in Zambia with a valid company registration certificate. They should also possess a valid solar or electrical installation license issued by the Engineers Institute of Zambia (EIZ). Bidders must demonstrate proven experience in the installation of solar-powered water pumping systems and provide evidence of successfully completed similar assignments. The contractor will supply, install, and commission solar-powered submersible pumping systems, including all components. They will ensure full system functionality and provide basic training on operation and maintenance.

Interested bidders may obtain the Bid Application Form and Terms of reference from the BIC-CCDP office located at: Plot No. ME 17, 1st Street, Choma Town Centre. Completed bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked: “BID FOR INSTALLATION OF SOLAR SUBMERSIBLE PUMP SYSTEMS – “BIC-CCDP” Bids must be deposited in the tender box at the BIC-CCDP office not later than 13th April 2026 at 12:30 hours. Bid opening will take place on 13th April 2026 at 14:30 hours at the BIC-CCDP offices in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.
