Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of Guest Service Agent and the successful candidate will be based at Rainbow Towers Hotel and ICC Harare.
The position reports to the Front Office Supervisor.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Taking guests’ reservations, checking in and checking out guests.
- Conducting cashiering functions.
- Maintaining guest accounts, updating guest profiles, transferring city ledger to accounts receivable and ensuring guest history accounts are kept current.
- Attending to guests’ enquiries, interacting with guests, and collecting guest feedback.
- Taking note of guests’ special needs and communicating accordingly
Person Specification & Attributes
- Holder of a Higher National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Knowledge of Opera system is a requirement.
- At least 1 -2 years’ relevant experience in a similar post
- Yield management and sales skills an added advantage.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- High level of attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
