Security Officer

Job Description

Mary’s Meals Zambia is recruiting for the position of Security Officer to strengthen the safeguarding of our staff, assets, and programmes by supporting the implementation of Mary’s Meals’ Security Management System (MMSMS) in Chipata. Reporting to the Security Manager, the role of Security Officer is to ensure all protocols and procedures are followed across all sites and to promote security awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with security policies and standard operating procedures.
• Monitoring the security of assets, vehicles, and facilities.
• Supporting field operations through checks, audits, and equipment oversight.
• Conducting security briefings, training, and awareness sessions for staff and visitors.
• Building strong relationships with local authorities, security networks, and communities.
• Assisting in the management of security incidents and reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in security management or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in security operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer-literate with Microsoft Office skills.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
