Job Description

We are seeking two (2) motivated and detail-oriented interns to support core operations of the SACCO, particularly in loan administration, financial record management, and member services. The successful candidates will gain hands-on experience in SACCO/microfinance operations while contributing to efficient service delivery and strong financial management practices.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Support loan administration processes including member engagement, loan disbursement, repayment tracking and loan collections; assist with reconciliations (ledger, cashbook, and bank); and maintain accurate, up-to-date member records and KYC documentation in the loan management system
  • Undertake other duties assigned by the supervisor and ExCom from time to time.

Qualifications/Required Skills

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Business, Banking, or any other related training.
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize them appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly excel) and other relevant software programmes.
  • Experience in loan management will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
