BUILDER – CHIAWA FARM (X2)

The Required Skills for this Role include:

• Interpreting and working from architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Carrying out a wide range of construction tasks including bricklaying, plastering, concreting, tiling, and roofing.
• Preparing construction sites by clearing obstacles and setting out work areas.
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials such as wood, metal, and concrete.
• Constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures.
• Finishing works including plastering, painting preparation, and basic carpentry.
• Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and within agreed timelines.
• Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition
• Monitoring and minimizing material wastage
• Identifying and reporting structural defects or safety hazards
• Complying with occupational health and safety guidelines at all times

The Required Qualifications are:

• Grade 12 Certificate/Construction or equivalent
• Valid Trade Test Certificate in Bricklaying
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in general building works
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans

The Required Attributes Include:

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
• Basic understanding of structural integrity and measurements.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Be able to communicate efficiently and clear manner.

PEST SCOUT –CHIAWA (01)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

• Reporting and drawing data of infestation, infection and deficiency levels.
• Monitoring efficiency of products used for control measures.
• Monitoring plant growth and behavior in response of elements of feeding.
• Verifying pest and disease infestation trends.
• Coordinating with spray/crop supervisors and management on pest and disease control/crop quality.
• Ensuring management plans/intentions on plant health are implemented in time.
• Conducting regular field inspections to assess crop health and identify potential pest infestations and disease symptoms.
• Assisting in the implementation of integrated pest management strategies.
• Supporting field trials and research projects aimed at improving crop yields and sustainability.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Full Grade Twelve (12) School certificate.
• Certificate/Diploma in General Agricultural.
• Three (3) years of work experience in the same field.
• Member of the Agricultural Institute of Zambia.

The Required Attributes Include:

• Computer literate.
• Relevant Agricultural skills.
• Ability to self-manage workload and work independently.
• Knowledge of labor supervision.
