Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Development Financial Controller to join our team in Lusaka, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to our agricultural development team, ensuring the effective management of our agricultural investments and operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and guidance to the agricultural development team
- Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve business objectives
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to inform business decisions
- Manage budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, and partners
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial leadership or management
- Proven track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional certification in finance or accounting (e.g. CPA, CFA)
- Experience working in the agricultural industry or with farmers
- Strong knowledge of financial software and systems
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g. English, French, Portuguese)
